CCI funds charitable foundation

Catholic Church Insurance (CCI) has made a $10 million contribution to set up charitable foundation CCI Giving.

The foundation aims to address community needs through a grants program focusing on gaps in social welfare schemes.

“A growing number of organisations and causes are going unfunded each year, while other charities are at funding capacity,” CCI CEO Roberto Scenna said. “We’re giving back to those overcoming challenges and adversity, and especially those that need us the most.”

CCI Giving will become a perpetual charitable foundation, which is not reliant on public funding, supporting Catholic organisations and other groups making a social impact.

CCI, established in 1911, is owned by Australian Catholic dioceses and religious institutes.
