The annual Adroit Insurance Group charity golf day raised a record $100,000 for projects in the Geelong region of Victoria.

Adroit says $61,000 was donated to Barwon Child Youth & Family to refurbish its Street Surfer Bus, which provides information, education, support, counselling and referrals.

The remainder will go to the Geelong Community Foundation, which supports a range of projects and organisations through grants.

The amount raised topped last year’s $90,000 and takes the total over the event’s 15-year history to more than $950,000.

The golf day was held in Barwon Heads, with 45 teams participating. The Zurich and UAA teams took out top honours.
