The revamped WA workers’ compensation regime will start on July 1 after the state’s parliament passed the reforms last year. 

WorkCover WA CEO Chris White proclaimed the commencement date for the Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act 2023 in a brief statement last week. 

He says the key instrument supporting the new Act has been enacted by the Governor and is now available on the WA legislation website.
