Thousands driving uninsured, iSelect warns

More than 700,000 Australians are driving uninsured vehicles, according to new research commissioned by iSelect.

The study also reveals more than 5 million car owners have either always been with the same insurer or have not changed providers for 10 years. Almost one in five drivers aged 65 and over have been with the same insurer since they got their licence.

The research shows about half of all Australian drivers have not made a claim in the past 10 years, including one-third who have never made a claim.
