Tech appointments signal MLC changes

MLC has appointed a new CIO and several other technology-related appointments as it strengthens its data culture and tech platforms.

Nish Chandran, currently with financial services group First Data, will be CIO, with responsibility for managing tech capabilities in MLC’s Sanagi program, which is transitioning the life insurer from NAB’s systems to new infrastructure.

Darren Klein will become GM of Data and Analytics, responsible for formulating MLC’s strategy for data governance, insights and analytics.

Fleur Edgerton becomes GM of Sourcing and Partnerships, to strengthen commercial and supplier management functions. She was previously head of IT procurement with power company Ausgrid.

MLC has also promoted Chief Underwriter Debbie Kennedy to GM Business Architecture and Change. Tim Roso has been appointed GM Digital, Innovation and Ventures, and Michael Tobin has been promoted to GM Transformation and Portfolio Management.
