OnePath widens mental health claims support
OnePath has extended its claims support system to retail clients making mental health claims through their total and permanent disability (TPD) insurance.
Under the service, provided by CaseWorks Australia, a qualified nurse helps claimants fill in forms at home, simplifying the process and reducing decision times.
Mental health issues account for about 20% of OnePath’s TPD claims – the second most common trigger.
Maria Falas, OnePath parent ANZ’s Life Insurance Head of Mental Health and Wellness, says extending mental health support to TPD clients is important given the predicted growth in such illness nationwide.
