WTW doubles Q2 income

Willis Towers Watson more than doubled its second-quarter net income to $US82 million ($111 million), as revenue from its four core segments grew 4% to nearly $US2 billion.

The group, which has adopted a new revenue accounting standard, says net income would be lower at $US58 million ($78.8 million) under the new measurement.

Corporate risk and broking revenue increased 4% to $US669 million ($908 million) and investment, risk and reinsurance grew 1% to $US379 million ($514.9 million).
