Canstar has named Terri Scheer as the best landlord insurer offering “outstanding value”.

“Terri Scheer provides a market-leading balance between extensive coverage and competitive premiums,” Canstar Research Manager Mitchell Watson said.

“Its landlord-specific features are comprehensive, including cover for legal expenses and no fewer than 10 different loss-of-rental-income scenarios.”

The Suncorp-owned insurer won the national award, plus regional awards for north Queensland, NSW, Victoria and Tasmania.

Allianz won the awards for Queensland and SA in the category, while Suncorp won in WA.

Mr Watson says Allianz and Suncorp offer some of the lowest premiums.

Canstar assessed 41 landlord insurance policies using 14 profiles at state and national level.
