Cover-More has secured a deal to provide IAG customers with travel insurance and medical assistance in New Zealand.

The two parties formally established a partnership last month.

Cover-More will provide specialised travel cover and medical assistance services to IAG and its brands, including AMI Insurance, State Insurance and NZI.

“After a competitive tender process… we are pleased to confirm them as our travel insurance partner,” IAG NZ EGM Direct Insurance Craig Olsen said.

Cover-More has expanded its Auckland office and hired more staff to handle the expected rise in business.

“The partnership allows us to provide specialised products tailored for specific travellers,” Cover-More NZ CEO Bruce Morrison said.

“Leisure, business and corporate travellers will benefit from these products.”
