Gen Re has appointed Andrew Flitcroft as MD for Australia and Regional Treaty Manager for the Asia-Pacific region, effective from July 31.

He will succeed Pietro Toffanello, who held the roles since 2012.

Mr Flitcroft, currently Deputy Property and Casualty Regional Manager Asia-Pacific, has worked for the reinsurer since 1996.

The Asia-Pacific leadership team includes Regional Facultative Manager Damien Leary and Regional Treaty Chief Underwriter Tobias Pfau. Gen Re is a Berkshire Hathaway company.
