360 Underwriting recruits industry high-fliers

Former QBE senior manager Andrew Borden has joined 360 Underwriting Solutions one of four experienced executives to recently join the Sydney-based underwriting agency.

Mr Borden, who is now 360’s Executive Director for Mid-Market Solutions, was previously workers’ compensation GM at QBE and prior to that was the insurer’s regional manager intermediary distribution for Victoria and Tasmania. He has more than 20 years’ experience across a broad range of insurance environments.

Theo Stevens is Chief Information Officer, with responsibility for driving the underwriting agency’s information strategy and platforms. He was formerly group head of e-commerce for QBE Global Distribution and chief information officer for AUB Group.

Norlie Dooma, previously claims manager with Aon in NSW, has been appointed Head of Claims.

Stefani Klarin is National Sales Operations Manager. 360 Underwriting Director and co-founder Denis Morrissey says she will “innovate, educate and promote the agency’s experience” to its broker partners. Ms Klarin was most recently national marketing and development manager with Solution Underwriting.

“We are thrilled to have been able to attract such wonderful talent to lead the 360 business into its second year of operation,” Mr Morrissey said.

In a separate announcement, the agency unveiled the creation of 360 Aviation and the appointment of Craig Davie as Executive Underwriter of the new division.

The division started operations this month and will write all aspects of aviation insurance including airline, general aviation, airport liability and associated aviation liability risks.
