NIBA Convention registrations open

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has opened registrations for “super early bird” tickets to its annual conference.

This year’s event will be from October 20-22 at the Adelaide Convention Centre, with the key theme of Beyond the Status Quo.

NIBA says the theme represents a “call to action for the broking community to seize upon the many future possibilities and take charge as the insurance industry goes through a period of evolution”.

The convention will welcome brokers from across the country, providing an opportunity to network, hear from industry leaders and celebrate awards for professional excellence. Its keynote speakers will be futurist Ben Hamer, entrepreneur Emma Isaacs and bestselling author Andrea Clarke.

NIBA Convention Chair Dianne Phelan says the conference is the “singular event that unites the entire insurance broking profession”.

“From seasoned veterans to emerging talents representing diverse entities, including listed groups, international firms and SMEs, our gathering embodies the full spectrum of our profession,” she said. “Embrace this unique opportunity to elevate your expertise and position yourself at the forefront of the dynamic insurance broking landscape.”

Last year’s event had more than 750 attendees and marked the organisation’s first full convention since 2019. This year’s convention is the first as CEO for Richard Klipin, who takes over from Phil Kewin later this month.
