Crawford names new forensic accounting boss

Loss adjuster Crawford & Company has promoted Stephen Stafford to head its Forensic Accounting Services team in Australia.

Mr Stafford joined the company in 2021 as senior forensic accountant and most recently served as executive general adjuster and Queensland regional manager.

He will take over from Graham Peters, who has been named Crawford’s National Executive Adjuster and Head of Class Actions.

Crawford Australia President Jonathan Hubbard says Mr Stafford has a strong rapport with the company’s 17-member forensic accounting team.

“Stephen has a way of motivating everyone to be the best version of whatever they want to be, whether that is ambition for leadership roles or becoming a high-level technical expert or simply being the most productive and efficient loss adjuster,” Mr Hubbard said.

“It’s also really pleasing to make this appointment from within our own ranks ... it just makes good business sense to appoint from within because it brings a level of continuity to our teams and our clients.”
