Technology holds key to future success, new Allianz MD says

Technology will play an increasingly crucial role in Allianz Australia’s growth plans, according to incoming MD Richard Feledy.

“I want to focus on improving the customer experience by simplifying our products and giving customers more choice in how they want to engage with us,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“We’ll look to do that by using new developments in automation and tech. I know that, as an industry, we face some difficult challenges.

“I am confident, though, that we will face those challenges head on, build on our existing success and continue to deliver the excellent service our customers expect from us.”

Mr Feledy was chief technical officer for seven years before Allianz announced he will succeed outgoing MD Niran Peiris. He is occupying the newly created Deputy MD role until he formally takes the reins on January 1.

“During my time at Allianz, I have worked closely with Mr Peiris and the senior management team,” he said. “My challenge is to build on that legacy and help the team forge the way in a new business landscape.”
