Strata insurer CHU says a post-disaster recovery service it launched this year is proving its worth to clients.
Owners recently affected by burst water hoses at two NSW strata blocks had the necessary damage assessments, quotes and repair approvals arranged in less than 24 hours by CHUAssess.
“The need for speed is vital for strata owners and their tenants when disasters such as burst flex hoses flooding a number of units strike,” CHU Head of Claims Andy Martindale said.
“CHUAssess was established for that purpose – to provide a rapid, flexible response and help the occupants get back to normal as soon as possible.”
Burst water hoses account for more than 20% of domestic water damage claims, CHU says.
