CGU appoints state managers

CGU has named state managers in its broker business and announced a number of national appointments as it reorganises following parent IAG’s Wesfarmers Insurance acquisition.

The state managers are Rodney Bond in WA, James Frankenfeld in SA and NT, Lisa Jeffery in Victoria and Tasmania, Peter Oakman in NSW and Ian Garbutt in Queensland.

Mr Bond was previously Regional Manager WA/SA and branch network for Lumley while Mr Frankenfeld, Ms Jeffery, Mr Oakman and Mr Garbutt were previously in their roles for CGU.

“This reaffirms our commitment to a state-based model, because we know how important it is to have decision-making close to our partners and customers,” CGU says.

Shaun O’Brien takes over as National Manager, Corporate & Specialty Lines, which has been an area of focus for CGU and former Wesfarmers business Lumley.

Damien Gallagher becomes National Manager for Partner Solutions, Alison Tighe National Manager for Services, Matthew Bennett Senior Manager for Distribution Strategy and Llewellyn Jones National Manager for Workers’ Compensation, Risk States.

CGU remains the primary intermediated brand of IAG Commercial, with Lumley to become the umbrella brand for IAG’s underwriting agencies business.
